About Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park

Seventy hectares of volcanic rock below the fort walls that were smothered in an invasive mesquite until 2006, when the Mehrangarh trust brought in Pradip Krishen to strip it and replant the native desert flora. Marked trails run through the rhyolite gullies and along an old aqueduct, with the fort above the whole way. Go early or late; the rock holds heat.
