About Kaylana Lake

Pratap Singh dammed a rocky valley west of the city in 1872 and Kaylana still supplies much of Jodhpur with water. It is the local sunset spot, with a boating ghat and low granite hills all round. Winter brings migratory ducks and some cranes, and the Rao Jodha park and Takhat Sagar are on the same road.
