About Nathmal ki Haveli

Built in 1885 for Diwan Mohata Nathmal by two brothers, Hathi and Lulu, who each carved one side of the facade without consulting the other, so the two halves look alike but never quite match. Yellow sandstone elephants flank the door. The ground floor is open to visitors and the family still lives upstairs, so it stays a house rather than a monument.
