About Lodurva Jain Temple
The Bhatti capital before Jaisalmer was founded in 1156, sacked by Mahmud of Ghazni and again by Ghori, and now a small village 16 km north-west of town with one thing worth the drive: the Parshvanath Jain temple, rebuilt in 1615 by the merchant Tharu Shah. The carved torana at the entrance and the metal kalpavriksha tree inside are very fine. Moomal ki Medi, a ruin tied to the Moomal and Mahendra love story, is nearby on the dry Kak river.
