About Bada Bagh
The garden and tank were laid out in the early eighteenth century by Maharawal Jai Singh II, and after his death in 1743 his son built the first of the cenotaphs here; every ruler since has a chhatri, and the row of them in yellow sandstone runs up the hillside 6 km north of town. Wind turbines now stand behind them. Go for the last hour of daylight.
