About City Palace, Udaipur
Udai Singh II began it in 1559 when he moved the capital from Chittor, and twenty-two rulers added to it over four centuries, so it is really eleven palaces joined into one long wall of granite and marble above Lake Pichola. The museum route runs through Mor Chowk, the glass-inlaid Sheesh Mahal and the zenana courtyards. The Crystal Gallery in Fateh Prakash holds the crystal furniture ordered from Birmingham in 1877.

- Mor Chowk and its three peacock mosaics
- Badi Mahal, the garden built on a rock 27 m up
