About Ahar Cenotaphs and Museum

The cremation ground of the Mewar royal house since the capital moved to Udaipur, with more than 250 cenotaphs and nineteen of them for Maharanas; Amar Singh I's from 1620 is the grandest. Beside the mound is a small museum on the Ahar-Banas culture, the copper-age settlement found under the village that goes back past 2000 BCE. Almost no tourists, which suits it.
