About Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace

Sajjan Singh started it in 1884 as an astronomical observatory and monsoon retreat on Bansdara hill, and died before it was finished. The palace itself is bare inside; the point is the drive up through the small Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary and the view from the terrace over Pichola, Fateh Sagar and the Aravalli ridges to the west. Go for sunset, and in the monsoon for the clouds it was named for.
