About Tiracol Fort

The northernmost fort in Goa, across the Terekhol river from Maharashtra, reached by a short ferry from Querim (Keri). The small laterite fort has a yellow chapel inside, dedicated to St Anthony, and the ramparts give a clean view of the river mouth and the open sea. Part of the fort is run as a heritage hotel, so enter through the main gate and be quiet around guests. Combine it with the empty Querim beach.
