About Arambol Beach

The last big beach before the Maharashtra border, in Pernem taluka, and the most laid back of the northern strip. A path over the cliff at the north end leads to a small freshwater lake with a mud bath, and a bit further to quiet Kalacha beach. Evenings bring drum circles at the main beach, and paragliders take off from the cliff in season. Swim only where lifeguards are posted, and avoid the sea in the monsoon.
