About Sanwariya Seth, Mandphiya
Krishna as the merchant, Sanwariya Seth, whose three idols were dug up at Bhadsoda in 1840 by a Gurjar herdsman, one of which is now at Mandphiya on the Chittorgarh to Udaipur highway. Traders and truck drivers across Mewar and Malwa make him a partner in the business and bring a share of the profit, so the offerings run to crores and the new temple is enormous. The highway location is the point: every long-distance truck slows down and honks.
