About Baroli Temples

Eight temples from the 9th and 10th centuries in a grove 3 km from Rawatbhata, the best group of Gurjara-Pratihara work in Rajasthan. The Ghateshwar Mahadev is the main one, with a carved mandapa and a torana still standing, and the sculpture is fine enough that a Nataraja was stolen from here in 1998 and turned up in a London collection years later. Combine it with Bhainsrorgarh.
