About Bhainsrorgarh Fort
A fort on a cliff where the Bamani meets the Chambal, held by a Mewar noble family since 1741 and run by them as a small heritage hotel since 2006. The site is very old, mentioned in records from the second century. The Chambal here is a deep green gorge below the Rana Pratap Sagar dam, and the family arranges boats. If you are not staying, the village, the ghats and the view up the gorge are worth the detour from Rawatbhata.
