About Sanjay Gandhi Jaivik Udyan
Patna Zoo, 153 acres on Bailey Road, opened in 1973 as a botanical garden and still half of it is one. It has done well breeding one-horned rhinos and has tigers, gharial and a large aviary. It is where Patna families go on a winter Sunday, so weekdays are better. The lake attracts wintering ducks.
What to see and do
