About Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Library

Khan Bahadur Khuda Bakhsh opened his collection of 4,000 manuscripts to the public in 1891, and it is now a national library of about 21,000 Persian, Arabic and Urdu manuscripts. The Timurnama, a Quran written on a scroll a few centimetres wide and Mughal and Rajput miniatures are the famous pieces, shown in a small gallery. Serious visitors can ask to see the reading room.
