About Buddha Smriti Park
Built on the site of the old Bankipore jail opposite Patna Junction and opened by the Dalai Lama in 2010. The 200-foot Pataliputra Karuna Stupa holds relics gifted by Sri Lanka, Thailand, Myanmar, Japan and South Korea, and the Bodhi saplings around it come from Anuradhapura and Bodh Gaya. A clean, calm 22 acres in the noisiest part of the city.
