About Bari and Chhoti Patan Devi

The presiding goddess of Patna, and by one telling the source of the city name. Bari Patan Devi at Chowk is counted among the 51 Shakti Peeths, where a piece of Sati is said to have fallen. Chhoti Patan Devi is a kilometre away. Both are small, old and busy, and Navratri in October fills the lanes. Combine with Patna Sahib and Padri ki Haveli, all within a couple of kilometres.
