About Mapusa Friday Market
Mapusa is the main town of Bardez, and its Friday market is the one where local people shop. Look for dried fish, Goan sausages, spice mixes, cashew, kokum, pottery and fresh vegetables, and look out for bebinca and other sweets from the stalls near the square. Come early, carry cash, and bargain gently. The market runs on other days too, but it is at its fullest on Fridays.
