About Kishangarh Fort & Marble Dumping Yard

Kishangarh is the marble town of India, and decades of slurry from its cutting yards have been dumped on a 300-acre flat that has hardened into a blinding white landscape people call the moon land. It became a film and pre-wedding shoot location, so a free permission slip is now required. The town itself gave the Bani Thani school of painting its face, and the fort with its Phool Mahal palace on Gundolav lake is a heritage hotel.
