About Ana Sagar Lake
The Chauhan king Arnoraja dammed the Luni stream in the 1130s to make this lake, and the Mughals dressed its shore: Jahangir laid out the Daulat Bagh garden and Shah Jahan added the five marble pavilions of the Baradari in 1637. It is the evening place for Ajmer, with boats, chaat stalls and a promenade. The lake shrinks badly in dry years.
