About Zojila Pass
A high mountain pass on the Srinagar to Leh highway at about 3,528 metres, the gateway between Kashmir and Ladakh. The road is narrow and steep with big drops, and snow falls from November to March. The pass is closed in winter, usually from late December to March or April, and landslides can stop traffic on any day. It is a beautiful but demanding drive.
