About Thajiwas Glacier
A glacier and waterfall about 3 to 4 km from Sonamarg, reached on a pony or on foot through a valley of pine, birch and meadow. In summer the glacier is partly covered and a lot of the walk is across snow patches, which suits families and beginners. Sledging is possible in winter on the upper slopes, subject to weather.
