About Sphatik Shila & Janki Kund

A pale rock in the bed of the Mandakini 2 km beyond Janki Kund, said to carry the footprints of Ram and Sita from the spot where Jayant, in the form of a crow, pecked at her foot. Janki Kund on the way, where Sita bathed, is the quieter ghat. Both are easy on foot or by rickshaw from Ramghat, and both go under in the monsoon.
