About Kamadgiri Parikrama

The forested hill that pilgrims regard as the original Chitrakoot, circled by a 5 km paved parikrama with shrines and muths along the way. Everyone walks it, some on their knees, and it takes an hour and a half at a plain pace. Kamtanath temple at the start is the main shrine. Go early or late; midday on the path is hot most of the year.
