About Ramghat
The main ghat on the Mandakini where Ram, Sita and Lakshman are said to have spent the greater part of their exile, and where Tulsidas is said to have met Ram in the guise of a boy. The evening aarti is the thing, watched from a boat. The river floods hard in the monsoon and the ghats close then. The Deepdan on Diwali is one of the biggest lamp festivals in the region.
