About Sati Anusuya Ashram
The ashram of Atri and Anusuya 16 km upstream from Ramghat, where the Mandakini comes out of a forested gorge. Anusuya is said to have brought the river down by her penance. The temple is modern and a bit garish, the setting is not: the road runs through Vindhya forest and the river is clear here. A good place to end the Chitrakoot circuit.
