About Siliserh Lake
Vinay Singh dammed a valley here in 1845 to supply water to Alwar and built a small palace on the bank for his wife Shila; the palace is now a state-run hotel where non-guests can take a drink on the terrace. Motorboats and paddle boats run when the lake is full. It sits on the road to Sariska and is the usual lunch stop.
