About Bhangarh Fort
Madho Singh, brother of the Amber ruler Man Singh I, founded the town in the late 16th century and it was deserted by the 18th. What stands is an unusually complete abandoned town: the bazaar street, havelis, several temples, and the palace at the back under the hill. The ASI board forbidding entry between sunset and sunrise is what made it famous as a haunted place. Go for the ruins, not the ghosts.
