About Sariska Tiger Reserve

Aravalli dry forest an hour from Alwar, and the reserve that lost every one of its tigers to poaching by 2004. Tigers were flown in from Ranthambore from 2008 onwards and the count is now in the thirties. Sightings take more patience than Ranthambore, but the forest, the Kankwari fort where Aurangzeb held his brother Dara Shikoh, and the ruined temples at Neelkanth make the day worth it anyway.
