About Shimla Ridge and Mall Road
The open promenade at the heart of Shimla, the old summer capital of British India, with Christ Church, the Gaiety Theatre and the Mall Road shops along it. It is a pleasant place to walk, eat and watch the hills change colour in the evening. Mall Road is closed to cars, and the Ridge is crowded in May and June and at New Year.
