About Kotgarh and Thanedar
The birthplace of apple farming in Himachal, where an American missionary, Samuel Stokes, planted the first apple orchards in 1916. The villages of Kotgarh and Thanedar have orchards, small churches and quiet walks. The apple blossom in April and the harvest from August to October are the best seasons.
