About Kufri
A small hill resort about 16 km from Shimla known for pony rides, a small zoo of Himalayan animals and a skiing and sledding season in winter when it snows. The Himalayan Nature Park has the monal pheasant, the musk deer and the Himalayan black bear. Weekends and holidays are crowded, so go on a weekday if you can.
