About Purushwadi: Firefly Village
A hill village running one of India’s best community-tourism programmes. For a few weeks before the monsoon breaks, whole trees here pulse with fireflies, and villagers host visitors in their own homes rather than in a resort. Book well ahead, numbers are capped deliberately.
What to see and do

- Homestays with village families
- Community-run, so the income stays local
