About Panna Meena ka Kund
A 16th-century stepwell behind Amber town with the criss-cross flights of steps that make the photographs everyone knows, eight tiers going down to the water. It was built as a community tank and a cool place to sit. The steps are now roped off, so you look from the top. The Anokhi Museum of hand printing is two minutes away and worth the detour.
