About Albert Hall Museum
Samuel Swinton Jacob designed it and it opened in 1887 as the state museum, the earliest and finest Indo-Saracenic building in Jaipur. The collection is a Victorian jumble of carpets, arms, miniatures and pottery, with a Ptolemaic-era Egyptian mummy in the basement that everyone comes for. Lit up at night it is at its best, and the evening ticket lets you in after sunset.
What to see and do
- The Egyptian mummy of Tutu
- The Persian garden carpet
