About Nepali Chhawani Mandir
A Shiva temple in Hajipur built in the late eighteenth century by Nepali soldiers stationed here, in the tiered wooden pagoda style of the Kathmandu valley and quite unlike anything else in Bihar. The carved wooden struts carry erotic scenes in the Nepali manner. It sits close to the Gandak on the Hajipur side, ten minutes from Konhara Ghat.
