About Morjim Beach

Called Little Russia by some because of its long-staying foreign visitors, Morjim is also one of the few Goan beaches where Olive Ridley turtles still nest, mostly between November and March. The forest department marks and guards the nests, so keep clear of the roped areas and do not use lights on the sand at night. The Chapora river estuary behind the beach is a good place for waders and kingfishers.
