About Lucknow Zoo and State Museum
The Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Prani Udyan opened in 1921 in the Banarsi Bagh, right in the middle of the city, and is still where Lucknow families go on a winter Sunday. The State Museum inside the same compound is the real reason to come: Mathura and Gupta sculpture, coins, and an Egyptian mummy.
What to see and do
- State Museum sculpture galleries
- The Egyptian mummy
- Old-growth trees of the Banarsi Bagh
