About Chandrika Devi Temple
A Devi temple on a bend of the Gomti about 28 km up the Sitapur road, held to be very old and tied in local telling to Chandraketu, son of Lakshmana. The idol is Mahishasur Mardini. It is quiet on weekdays and packed on Amavasya and through Navratri, when the road from Bakshi ka Talab is one long queue of tempos.
