About Dilkusha Kothi

An English baroque hunting lodge built around 1800 for Saadat Ali Khan by Gore Ouseley, copied from Seaton Delaval in Northumberland. It was wrecked in the 1857 fighting and left as a ruin; General Havelock died here. Now a quiet lawn with a shell of a house in it, and hardly anyone about.
