About Chota Imambara

Muhammad Ali Shah built it in 1838 as his own tomb and a congregation hall for Muharram. It is far smaller than the Bara Imambara and much more ornate, hung with Belgian chandeliers and lamps that earned it the name Palace of Lights. The two small tombs in the courtyard are for his daughter and her husband.
