About Chowk and Aminabad
The old city between Akbari Gate and Gol Darwaza, and the reason people come to Lucknow hungry. Galouti kebabs at Tunday Kababi, nihari-kulcha at breakfast, malai makkhan in winter, and chikan embroidery in the lanes behind. Aminabad, a short ride away, is the busier bazaar. Evenings are best; Ramzan nights are something else.
