About Lakshmangarh
Rao Raja Lakshman Singh of Sikar built the fort on a bare rock in 1805 and laid out the town below it on the Jaipur grid, straight bazaar streets meeting at right angles. The fort interior is private but the ramp up gives the best overview of any Shekhawati town. The Char Chowk Haveli of the Ganeriwalas, with four courtyards, is the largest painted haveli in the region.
