About Kumbhalgarh Fort
Rana Kumbha built it between 1443 and 1458 with his architect Mandan, on a 1100 m Aravalli ridge, and the outer wall runs 36 km around the hills, the second longest continuous wall anywhere after China's. Maharana Pratap was born here in 1540 and Udai Singh II was hidden here as a child. Inside are some 360 temples and the Badal Mahal at the top, a steep 20-minute walk from the gate. The evening sound and light show is in Hindi.
