About Kukrail Gharial Centre
A gharial breeding and rehabilitation centre started in 1978 inside the Kukrail reserve forest on the north-east edge of the city. The pools hold gharial and mugger of every size, there is a small deer park, and the forest itself is the closest thing Lucknow has to a walk under trees.
