About Kanpur Memorial Church
All Souls, finished in 1875 to the design of Walter Granville in red-brick Lombardic Gothic, as the memorial to the British who died at Kanpur in 1857. The marble angel by Carlo Marochetti that once stood over the Bibighar well was moved here after 1947 and stands in the walled garden behind the church, with the memorial tablets.
