About Taramandal Planetarium and Railway Museum
The Veer Bahadur Singh Nakshatrashala, opened in 2009 beside Ramgarh Tal, runs a few dome shows a day in Hindi and is closed on Mondays. The Railway Museum near the station, run by the North Eastern Railway, has old locomotives, a toy train ride and a model of the very long Gorakhpur platform. Both are aimed at children and make a decent hot-afternoon plan.
