About Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (Toy Train)
The narrow gauge mountain railway of 1881 that links Siliguri and Darjeeling and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The popular joy ride runs a steam engine from Darjeeling to Ghum, the highest station, and back, and passes the Batasia Loop. Book seats in advance in the season, and carry something warm. Some services are run by diesel, and the schedules change, so check before you plan.
