About Chini ka Rauza

The tomb of Afzal Khan Shirazi, a Persian poet who was Shah Jahan's finance minister and died in 1639, and the only Mughal building in Agra covered in glazed Persian tiles, which is what chini means here. Much of the tile has gone and the site is neglected, but the surviving panels of blue, orange and green are enough to see how it once looked. Five minutes from Itmad-ud-Daulah, free, and usually empty.
