About Wat Thai Kushinara Chalermraj
A Thai royal monastery built between 1994 and 2001 to mark the golden jubilee of King Bhumibol, and the most photographed of the international temples in Kushinagar. Gilded roofs, a large lotus pond and gardens kept immaculate. It is a working monastery with a clinic, so keep quiet and cover up. The Myanmar, Japanese, Chinese and Korean temples are all within walking distance.
